EU, Union of Debt: Czech Premier

‘Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and his Czech counterpart Peter Necas have said that their countries no longer have plans to join the European Union since, as Necas says, it is a “union of debt.”

The two prime ministers met at a Bulgarian-Czech business forum in Prague on Tuesday and spoke at a joint press conference after deciding not to set an entry date to join the euro common currency, with the Czech PM calling the EU a “union of debt,” Bloomberg reported.’

EU Slammed for Complicity in US Crimes

‘EU human rights chief has harshly lambasted European governments for collaborating with the US on committing “countless crimes” in the so-called war on terror over the past decade.

“In attempting to combat crimes attributed to terrorists, countless further crimes have been committed in the course of the US-led ‘global war on terror,'” said the Council of Europe’s Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg on Thursday, The Associated Press reported.

“Many of those crimes have been carefully and deliberately covered up,” he added.’
